Here's a little bit about me

Here's a little bit about me

Here's a little bit about me

I was born in San Francisco to an Italian mother and Jewish father. (My Instagram handle is still @thepizza_bagel, an homage to my roots.) In high school, I fell in love with spoken word poetry, which is equal parts writing and performance. I spent my 20s working in a handful of industries, trying to find a vocational soulmate before eventually finding my way back to the page and the stage. Today, I'm a journalist, author, and speaker.

I've written two books and have had the pleasure of giving talks at companies and conferences all around the world. What I like most about my work is that it allows me to follow my curiosity. When I'm not working, you can find me playing ultimate frisbee, salsa dancing with my wife, or trying to impart my love of baseball and burritos to my son. The best way to stay in touch is by joining The Article Book Club, a digital book club for the web's best writing that I've run for nearly a decade. If you need a more buttoned-up bio to copy/paste, you can find one below.
